How It Works

From scenario to structured insight

Every analysis runs through a deliberate multi-pass process. Nothing is vague. Every output is traceable back to a scored construct.

1
Create a Case
Describe any scenario, dilemma, decision, or question. Name it, frame it, and store it in your case library for future reference.
2
Run Pass 1 — Framework Framing
The engine maps your scenario across ethical and analytical constructs, establishing context before any scoring begins.
3
Run Pass 2 — Construct Scoring
Each of 26 moral and analytical constructs is individually scored. The engine weights constructs based on your case context.
4
Lambda Override & Safety Check
A lambda function evaluates edge cases, flags safety concerns, and applies contextual overrides before delivering output.
5
Receive Your Analysis Report
A comprehensive analysis organized by construct — with reasoning, scores, and conclusions. Your full analysis is saved to your case library.

Analysis Engine

26 moral and analytical constructs

Omega’s scoring engine evaluates your case across a comprehensive framework. Here is a snapshot of the construct categories that power every analysis.

Moral Foundations
Care, fairness, loyalty, authority, sanctity, and liberty — the core pillars that anchor every ethical evaluation.
Consequentialist Analysis
Evaluates outcomes, second-order effects, harm distribution, and utilitarian calculus across all affected parties.
Deontological Duties
Examines duties, rights, and categorical imperatives regardless of consequence — who has obligations to whom.
Virtue & Character
Assesses whether an action reflects virtuous character — courage, wisdom, temperance, justice — applied to your scenario’s agents.
Power & Systems
Maps structural power dynamics, systemic patterns, institutional incentives, and how the scenario fits into larger social systems.
Epistemic & Truth Constructs
Evaluates claims, evidence quality, epistemic humility, and the relationship between belief and knowledge.
Temporal & Precedent
Examines long-term effects, precedent-setting implications, reversibility, and how the present action shapes future possibilities.
Identity & Relational Ethics
Considers how identity, relationships, and care obligations shape ethical responsibilities and moral weight in your case.
Coherence & Consistency
Evaluates internal consistency and whether reasoning holds together across its own premises.

+ 17 additional constructs per analysis: existential, cultural, legal, psychological, AI-safety, and more.

Depth & Rigor

Analysis serious enough to actually use

Omega is not a chatbot that guesses at ethics. It applies structured frameworks with deliberate rigor — the kind of output professionals, academics, and serious builders need.

Save and revisit your case library
Every analysis is stored as a named case. Build a library of analyzed dilemmas, compare results, and track how your thinking evolves over time.
Deep-research style output
Outputs match the depth of a well-researched position paper — not a bullet list. See real examples at omegaframework.wordpress.com.

FAQ

Common questions

ChatGPT gives you one model’s interpretation. Omega runs your scenario through 26 distinct scored constructs in a structured multi-pass process — each construct is evaluated independently and the results synthesized into traceable, construct-level reasoning. You can also save cases and return to them.
Yes. Your cases and analyses are stored in your account and not shared. The backend runs on Supabase with row-level security — your data is only accessible to your authenticated session. Your account is only accessible to your authenticated session.
The app is built with Capacitor, which already supports iOS compilation. An iOS version and a browser-based PWA are planned for v3. Right now, Android via direct APK is the primary path. Follow the GitHub repository to track iOS and web development progress.
No. Omega is an independent project built by a solo developer. The construct scoring framework draws from established moral philosophy and does not advocate for any particular ideology, religion, or political alignment. The engine surfaces complexity and tension — not resolves it in one direction.
